Job Profile

Urbanization due to rapid growth of modern societies is an inevitable process with a significant ecological footprint. Further, associated environmental impact of climate change on key sectors such as water, health, infrastructure and industry stresses upon the need for sustainable urban development initiatives. With almost two decades of experience in this sector, we carry out policy analysis, capacity building, and urban planning to create sustainable, resilient and smarter cities along the principles of sustainable urban development. TERI is supporting APCRDA as sustainability partner for the development of the new capital city of Amaravati. (For more details please visit this end TERI is looking for candidates with following skillset for this project.

" Assessing Master Plan projects, Detailed Project Reports, Mobility Plans, Feasibility Reports and Urban Design Guidelines with emphasis on environmental aspects and sustainable development.
" Provide technical and project management support for projectsfocussed on driving city-level climate action. Projects that focus on Climate change adaptation and mitigation, Climate risk and vulnerability assessments, rban Climate Resilience, Resilient Urban Infrastructure Development, Policy and Institutional Mechanisms.
" Interpret Masterplan Documents, Building Bye-Laws, Zoning Regulations and Planning Guidelines to make decisions and drive the design/implementation process.
" Knowledge of national and international sustainability frameworks/rating systems and environmental clearance processes/concepts related to sustainable infrastructure development, GRIHA LD, etc
" Ability to independently work on projects and deliverables while collaborating with associate technical teams, other Consultants, domain experts and relevant subject specialists.
" Capacity building and handholding of the Client/officials and other consultants on implementation of concepts related to sustainable urban and infrastructure development.
" Must have the ability to develop concepts and ability to present the same to Clients, officials and at public forums.


5 - 10 years


B.Arch/M.Arch in Urban Planning or equivalent
Desirable: Telugu language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)


Should have 5-8 years of professional experience in consulting and project management.
Experience in handling GRIHA projects.
